The right person will enjoy writing clear, engaging content, managing recurring communications, and staying organized with deadlines. This is a flexible position, ideal for someone who thrives in content execution and coordination rather than big-picture marketing strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Newsletters & Email Campaigns

  • Build and send weekly Office Hours reminder emails in Mailchimp.
  • Produce and schedule the monthly Blubrry Newsletter (podcaster features, giveaways, company news).
  • Create and send the monthly Guest Match Pro Newsletter, highlighting featured guests/creators and referral opportunities.

Blog Posts & Website Content

  • Draft and schedule blog posts for Podcast Insider and Guest Match Pro websites.
  • Work with teammates to review, finalize, and publish posts on WordPress.
  • Support feature updates and announcements inside the Blubrry dashboard.

Social Media Support

  • Schedule and publish content on X (Twitter) according to our content calendar.
  • Promote newsletters, blogs, and Podcaster of the Month features on social.
  • Keep recurring posts (e.g., weekend reminders, office hours, highlights) updated and consistent.

Community Features

  • Coordinate the Podcaster of the Month program: outreach, drafting a short profile, and scheduling promotions across platforms.
  • Support light content coordination with teammates for graphics and video tutorials.

Copywriting & Editing

  • Provide copy for company content including emails, social posts, blogs, and in-dashboard announcements.
  • Review and edit existing copy for tone, clarity, and accuracy.
  • Use AI tools (such as ChatGPT) thoughtfully to draft or refine content, ensuring the tone and voice align with Blubrry’s brand.

Content Maintenance

  • Check and update broken links in WordPress to keep sites healthy.
  • Maintain content calendars in Notion, ensuring deadlines and recurring posts are scheduled.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in content writing, communications, or digital publishing.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with an eye for clarity and accuracy.
  • Comfortable using Mailchimp, WordPress, and basic social scheduling tools.
  • Organized and dependable with recurring deadlines.
  • Familiarity with Google Docs, Notion, and Slack (or similar collaboration tools).
  • Basic understanding of AI tools (such as ChatGPT) and how to adjust tone/voice in generated content.

Preferred Skills

  • Background or interest in podcasting, digital media, or creator industries.
  • Ability to coordinate light graphic requests (templates provided).
  • Basic understanding of analytics or content performance is a plus.

Compensation

  • Part-Time Employee: $22–$29/hour (≈ $23k–$30k annually at 20 hrs/week).
  • Contractor/Freelancer: $27–$34/hour (or equivalent monthly retainer).

Compensation will be based on experience, skill set, and whether the role is filled as a part-time employee or contractor.

What We Offer

  • Part-time role (20 hrs/week).
  • Flexible structure: can be a part-time employee with set hours OR a contractor role with clear deliverables and deadlines.
  • Remote-first work environment.
  • Opportunity to contribute to a company at the heart of the podcasting industry.
